We welcome Patrick Werder as our new General Manager from October 1, 2024!
With the upcoming change in leadership, we wanted to find out more about his vision and goals and asked him five key questions. Here are some exciting insights into his plans.
What priorities have you set for the first few months of your term in office?
In the coming months, together with the management team and all employees, we will refine the strategy and define concrete measures for successful implementation. Another focus is on intensifying customer contact in order to optimally adapt our software and services to their needs. We are also pleased to welcome Armin Stutz as the new COO at IMS. As General Manager, it is important to me that he settles in quickly and can soon work efficiently.
What is most important to you personally when running a company?
When it comes to company management, the employees are the focus. A strong team and a positive culture are crucial to meeting our customers' expectations. That's why it's important to have the right people in the right places and to move in the same direction together.
Which future trends and developments are you watching particularly closely?
An increasingly important topic that is already becoming part of our everyday lives is the use of artificial intelligence. It is becoming increasingly important both for end users and in software development. At the same time, the increasing requirements in the area of data protection will pose major challenges for us.
What role does the exchange with customers and partners play for you?
Our customers and partners are essential to us. Regular and intensive exchange is essential in order to recognize developments among our customers and in the industries we serve at an early stage.
What motivates you personally in this new role as General Manager?
IMS is in an exciting phase and I am looking forward to the challenges posed by the market and current trends. Together with the IMS team, we want to develop innovative solutions that promote the sustainable success of our customers. At the same time, the positive development of our employees is important to me so that we can be successful together as a team.
